Back to some more Silhouette sketching, worked this one with the traditional mouse .

Blockhead

This time i experimented with using some texture sheets to blend and create a composition..(For the floor base,sky and the architecture.) The theme is built upon as i progressed. First i roughly Chalked out the stone head sculpture followed by the girl. After trying some backgrounds i finally decended on this one. Three days ( spending Avrg.3-4 hours in each sitting)

..Couple of hours to kill, sitting in a Café, and i thought lets get back to some sketching. Went down to the nearest stationary and baught the bare essentials to scribble. ...these are from the lot.

Lone Runner

started this one as a block silhouette brush strokes. (once again on a tip-off ..)

And guess what, its a nice method to work from a silhouette. took just over an hour to finish this one. work work and more work is the mantra for me now.

I was going thru some of the works posted on CG talk's daily sketch forum, good stuff.....are really helpful and fun exercise.

Night

Continuing from where i left, i wanted to do some quick night time studies.

A little more elaborate setting will be more intresting i guess.

Reminds me of Chopta(from where you can see a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges).
close to 3 hours.. finished in two sittings.

My Friend Anil was on my mind while working out this character.

Intially when i started out I kept the hands folded, then i decided it'll create a better feel if i show some gesture. Like the one its having now.(signaling his huge trailing entourage of marching soldiers to stop.)

Not that the meeting was a drone. A confrontation broke out between two of the smartest blokes around and I was inspired (read pushed) to put across my interpretation of the incident.

Life Study - WaterColor

Color study... Another good model to work with. watercolor is an intresting medium, needs lots of practice (which im short on) to get the control and keep youe hues fresh.

Days of my life

I have done this during my final year assignment at college. Acrylic on paper was turning into my favorite medium. Somehow my friend Xavier’s one room apartment stuck with me as my pet subject. I did a lot of sketches especially the sleeping character on bed before I finalized this layout. My friend Suresh (one of the best 3D modeler I know personally) was all over my tacky room perspective.
